  • If the data for the variable is normally distributed, consists of independent samples, and has 1 IV with group comparison between 3 groups a One way ANOVA is used
  • Method:
    • Analyze
    • Compare means
    • One way ANOVA
    • Input the IV in the dependent list
    • Input the groups in factor
    • Continue

Output:

  • If the data is significant it indicates that there are significant differences between the three groups
  • To find individual differences between the three groups, post hoc analysis must be conducted
  • Options are: Bonferroni, Sidak, or Duncan
